I met Meghan in college while she was a student athletic trainer. Loved who she was as a person, and we had talked about working out because I could tell she knew her way around the gym. It wasn’t until after I graduated I learned just how much knowledge she has. I watched her prep for competition over social media and was truly amazed by how could she transform her body. I was even more impressed by her mental fortitude because I can’t even imagine what the mental and emotional grind of it all. I am a former college athlete and around this time last year, I didn’t like direction my body was going. I went to the most knowledgeable person I know, and that was Meghan. “Meghan I want to lose weight. I workout hard. I don’t eat unhealthy 5/7 days. Why am I gaining weight?” Her response: “Do you count your macros?” I said, “No. That’s too much work. I’ve never had to do that.” She basically said, “Okay... well then don’t complain about trying to lose weight.” That was the kick in the rear I needed because it was from a good friend, someone who’s done exactly what I’m trying to do, and someone with knowledge that she continues to grow daily (probably hourly). I got the MyFitnessPal app and started counting. I started to see how much I was eating. I made some diet changes with her help and that kick in the rear about my diet changed everything. 6 months later I looked like a different person. We still talk occasionally, and I steal workout ideas from her Instagram all the time. An incredible human being with a genuine soul. She wants to help people. We both come from athletic background, and I feel like she would agree that dedication, consistency, and discipline are the keys to success. She’s a tough cookie with a soft heart that anyone would be lucky to work with!
